What’s New For 2023?
There are a few changes to the 2023 Venue. There’s a slimmed-down trim offering and a few changes to the interior.
The most significant change is the smaller number of trims available, with the Trend trim not being carried forward into 2023. We're spoiled for choice with the Essential, Preferred, and Ultimate trims still available.
In the Essential, there is an upgrade to the multi-information display, which goes from 3.5” to 4.2".

The Venue range has been reduced to three trim models for 2023. These three trims provide a great choice to suit all bank balances and consumer needs.

In Ontario, the Essential starts at $23,306*, the Preferred at $25,106* and the Ultimate at $27,606*
Engine and Performance
Under the Venue’s hood is a 1.6L four-cylinder engine making 121 horsepower and 113 lb-ft torque. There’s only a front-wheel drive, and the motor sends the drive to the front wheels through a continuously variable transmission. The Preferred and Ultimate trims also have drive mode selection for mud, snow, and sand.
The motor is fuel efficient, returning consumption figures of 7.9 L/100km around town and 6.9 L/100km on the highway.
The Essential and Preferred trims have rear drum brakes, while the Ultimate gets rear disc brakes.
Interior
The Venue may have small dimensions, but the cabin is roomy and comfortable. The rear and front seats have enough legroom to suit most adults, and the cushions are comfortable. Though not flashy, the interior is well assembled, and the 8-inch infotainment screen works well in conjunction with the study switchgear.
There is only climate control in the Ultimate trim, with the Essential and Preferred having air conditioning.
There is a sliding armrest, front centre console, proximity keyless entry, push-button ignition, and remote start for the Preferred and Ultimate trims.
All models have a 60/40 rear seat split, giving access to a great cargo space. With the seats upright, there are 528 litres of cargo space, and with the seats folded flat, this rises to 902 litres of cargo space.
The Venue comes with cloth seats, and the Ultimate trim has an upgraded set of seat covers that includes the iconic Denim Blue and Black, with interior colour accents.
Infotainment and Technology
The infotainment is centred around the 8-inch display, which supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It has Bluetooth connectivity, and there are dual USB charging ports.
The HD/AM/FM/MP3 audio system with four speakers is installed in the Essential and Preferred, while the Ultimate gets an upgraded sound system with six speakers.
Hyundai always installs many driver assistance features, and the Venue is no exception. There’s a hill start assist, driver attention warnings, lane-keeping assistance, and forward collision alerts with pedestrian detection.
